Products for the Flat Glass Industry

In the fully continuous manufacture of large flat glassware in float glass plants, the major plant components are made from SIGRAFORM^® material.

Highly important functions and sequences in the float glass production process are maintained by SIGRAFORM^® components and systems precision-machined to very close tolerances. Typical examples are ready-machined float bath lining profiles (float bath linings or multipart gas channeling systems (steam bars) of extreme length. Products used for the manufacture of colored and insulating glass, and also for cooling systems to control the temperature and the thickness of the glass bath (paddle) are made of specialty graphite grade SIGRAFORM^®. SIGRAFORM^® is also an indispensable material in conveying systems, rollers and strippers.
