Graphite Products for Electrolysis

The physical properties of our SIGRAFORM^® graphite grades make them ideal materials for use in anode applications.

High corrosion resistance combines with high mechanical strength and high purity to make SIGRAFORM^® suitable for use in special graphite anodes for magnesium production. It is supplied as bipolar electrodes or as hollow cylinder electrodes, either single- or multiple-component. It is assembled by using a special jointing technique and precision-machined for use in molten salt electrolysis for the production of lithium, sodium and magnesium. SIGRAFORM^® graphite is also used in the form of large anode plates and graphite contact rods in chlor-alkali electrolysis.
