Graphite Products for Diamond Synthesis

Demands on tools for extracting mineral resources are growing increasingly stringent. As a result, tools such as the drill heads used for extracting crude oil, natural gas and mineral raw materials now need to be diamond-tipped.

SGL Group supplies the semifinished graphite products and ready-machined molds required for the purpose. The graphite products used are either isostatically pressed or extruded.

Very low ash contents, high thermal shock resistance and a highly homogeneous material structure are typical characteristics of SGL graphite grades.
