Polygranular synthetic carbon and graphite:
Coarse-to-fine-grain applications - overview

Graphite is a modification of carbon.
A distinction is made between natural graphite and synthetic (artificially made) graphite.

Structure and properties

Graphite-filled high-performance plastic has excellent dimensional form stability and good frictional properties. It is used to produce precision parts by injection molding or hot-pressing in large-series quantities.

Coke and pitch are mixed and molded into form.
