SGL Group – The Carbon Company – will grant the Utz-Hellmuth Felcht Award for the second time in 2013.  Honored will be outstanding scientific and technological contributions in the field of carbon materials and related materials.

This prestigious donation of  Euro 20,000 will be awarded by SGL Group every two years on the occasion of the International Carbon Conferences, which are held in Asia, Europe and the USA on a rotating cycle.

First winner of the Felcht Award 2011 was Prof. Walter de Heer from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA .

The selection of the awardees is dedicated to an International Award Committee composed of six renowned scientists and persons of high standing in industry.

Recipient nominations for 2013 should be submitted no later than February 1, 2013.
