Corporate Structure

The operational business is managed by two global Business Units.
The duties of the Board of Management are defined according to a Management Holding concept within SGL CARBON SE.

Guiding Principles

The management of the Company is supported by the structures and guiding principles set out below.

The Board of Management (BoM) provides the overall strategic direction.

Fundamental business decisions are taken on two levels only, the BoM and the BUs.

The operational businesses are led by Management Committees of global Business Units
(BU-MCs) responsible for developing and executing their strategic and operating plans. The BU-MC members report to their respective head.

The Legal Entities (LEs) and Sites provide infrastructure and services required by the BUs.

The Corporate Functions (CFs) support the BoM and provide services to all BUs and Legal Entities.

The management culture is built on leadership and management by objectives principles.
The performance-driven incentive schemes are based on Corporate, BU, and personal targets defined by objective discussions between the BoM, the BUs, and the CFs.
